The mission of the Chicago Heights Alumni Foundation is to:
Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. was founded in 1911 at Indiana University with the motto of Achievement in every field of human endeavor. The Chicago Heights Alumni Chapter was chartered October 23, 1965. The Chicago Heights Alumni Foundation was established in 2008 as a non- profit, tax exempt, publicly supported organization as described in section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Service Code.
The Chicago Heights Alumni Foundation serves as the philanthropic arm of the Chicago Heights Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. supporting our Guide Right Program and scholarship funding for high school students in the South Suburban Community. We consider students that have economic, educational and social disadvantages.
Our Guide Right Program provides mentorship and counsel to elementary boys in the Chicago Heights Elementary Schools. Over the last twelve years we have awarded three to four $3,000 scholarships to graduating high school students pursuing higher education at a college or university.
